Grantham House Community Showcase - Sunday 9th August 2026

National Trust's Grantham House is hosting a Community Showcase on Sunday 9th August 2026, with the chance for local talent to take centre stage. Last year's event welcomed 750 people to enjoy local singers and musicians in the beautiful Grantham House gardens, and this year, even more groups will join in, including dance groups, musical acts, acting troupes and more!

he event will take place from 11am to 4pm and there are plans to feature a bar and several food stalls alongside the popular Grantham House Tearoom.

Bonnets and Breeches Dance Society are delighted to be performing two sets of dances, the first at 12:20 and the second 13:30. Each set will be approximately 20 minutes. So do come along to watch and support us!

It is FREE entry on the day!


Bonnets and Breeches' Annual Summer Picnic - Sunday 16th August 2026

Bonnets and Breeches will be having our 5th annual picnic at Newstead Abbey and would love for our family and friends to join us.

If you would like to join us in regency costume then please do, but this is not essential. The more people who come along the merrier!

Date: Sunday 16th August (weather depending)

Times: 11am to 2pm

Please bring your own picnic and seating / blankets (there is a café onsite to purchase food if you would prefer)

We will do a bit of regency dancing and may bring some lawn games to play. If you wish to bring a game too, then please feel free to bring it along.

Belton House Community Festival - Sunday 6th September 2026

Bonnets and Breeches Dance Society are thrilled to have been asked back to perform, for the third year running, at the Belton House Community Festival on Sunday 6th September 2026.

We will be performing a variety of dances from the Georgian, Regency and Victorian eras, over two sets, the first at 12:55pm and the second at 2:55pm, in the demonstration area near to the stage.

Please do come along to enjoy a wonderful, FREE day out!

Entry is free to everyone on the day.

'Myths, Mystery and Magic' Masquerade Tea Dance - Sunday 25th October 2026

Bonnets and Breeches are delighted to announce that our 9th tea dance will be a masquerade tea dance, based on the the theme 'Myths, Mystery and Magic', so get your masks ready and get into character! Who will the magic mirror decide is the fairest of them all, or will the Gods choose instead? Let the fairies and magicians whisk you away into a world of fun for an afternoon of regency dancing, tea and cakes.

Dress code is regency dress with masks, but you can add some flair to your outfit to showcase your character. Just ensure it is safe and easy to dance in, with comfortable, flat-soled shoes or dance shoes a requirement for dancing (please no heels!)

Save the date: Trafalgar Day Ball - Sunday 16th October 2027

Following the fantastic success of our recent Eve of Waterloo Ball, we are pleased to announce we will be hosting another ball next year on Sunday 16th October 2027. This time, it will be a Trafalgar Day ball, to celebrate the victory of the Royal Navy at the Battle of Trafalgar.

More information will be released soon and tickets will go on sale around September / October 2026.
